Sugar Pumpkin Doughnuts

Making doughnuts can be a little time consuming, but the end results are worth it if you’re working with a good recipe. I was really in the mood for a pumpkin donut recipe- a flavor I could not easily buy. After sifting through some recipes, I found one that was quite promising.

The end result was better than I imagined. We gobbled up these donuts in no time. The donuts came out so fluffy and soft and tasted like ones from a professional bakery shop. I coated them with sugar because it’s the fastest/easiest way for a finishing touch on the donuts.

The recipe itself isn’t difficult, but making donuts can be time consuming because you have to cut out the dough, let it proof, and fry them a few at a time. If you have some time on your hands, I definitely recommend this recipe.

Sugar sprinkled donuts are an all time fave for me…Goes well with anything. Coffee, mlik, tea, juice, soda, even just plain cold water. But pumpkin donuts are more than delicious, they are amazingly fantastic! The thing is they are not common in just every corner bakery. =(
Thanks for posting this. Now, I have my way to enjoy these amazing donuts!

should the dough be quite sticky before you let it set?

The dough was sticky, but not unmanageable. When it’s time to roll the dough out and cut the doughnuts, I used a generous amount of flour of the pastry board and on my rolling pin.
